Labyrinth (1986) PG Good
David Bowie is awesome in this movie. Great family classic. May be a little on the scary side for kids under 10. I was very impressed by the effects and the artwork. Remember, we are dealing with 1986 technology. When Bowie breaks into song he is powerful and convincing. Moral of the story, never give up, even when faced with a dude wearing too much eye makeup, sporting eighties big hair and wearing revealing gray stirrup pants.

Possible creepiest movie of all time! This picture will make you look like a klutz because it’s that trippy. Jim Henson’s obsession with Muppets bleeds onto the screen like a hemophiliac Kermit. Also this movie feature’s cinema’s bravest baby “Toby.” Till this day critics argue that Toby deserved the 1986 Oscar for his supporting role. I don’t quite understand why Henson decided to go with the name Jareth for the Goblin King…Oh wait I do!…his pants.
ReplyDeleteCT - You hit the nail on the head...Jim Henson was obsessed with muppets and Kermit was clearly his favorite.
ReplyDeleteI think this movie was very strange. It must be a guy thing though because my husband things its a classic.
